Funding

The Government may help pay for childcare for your child from 9 months to 4 years olds

​

9 and 23 months old: Up to 15 hours for eligible working families with a child between 9 and 23 months old. From Sept 2025: Up to 30 hours for eligible working families with a child from 9 months old up to school age.

​

2-3 years olds of working families and families receiving government support are entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare now.  From September 2025 this will increase to 30 hours.

 

3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours and if you meet certain criteria an additional 15 hours of funded early education each week for 38 weeks of the year. From September 2025 for eligible working families this will increase to 30 hours.

The deadline for parents to receive a Working Entitlement Code for the Autumn term is 31st August.​​​

Early education sessions - term time only - 38 weeks

15 hrs:

     8.30 am - 11.30 am  or 1 pm- 4 pm (5 days a week)

     8.45 am - 12.30 pm or 12.45 pm - 4.30 pm (4 days a week)

     8.30 am - 4.00 pm  or 9.00 am - 4.30 pm ( 2 days a week)

30 hrs:

      9.00 am - 3.00 pm ( 5 days a week)

      8.30 am - 4.00 pm or 9.00 am - 4.30 pm (4 days a week)​

Funded hours can be stretched over 51 weeks per year please speak to Claire regarding attendance patterns for stretched hours, (15 hrs - 3 half day sessions & 30 hrs- 3 full day sessions)

Note
Government funding doesn't cover the costs of consumables, extra hours and additional services.
